| This is getting ridiculous! Here's a thought - if you're offended by parts of your job, then get a different fucking job. Don't whine and bitch about it. You live in a modern city that has scads of different people, ethnicities, religions, colors, sizes, shapes, etc. If you can't deal with living around people that are different than you, again - remove yourself from the situation. Don't expect everyone to make accommodations just for you. If the picture in the story is correct and the ad is only on the BACK of the bus, it makes it even more stupid. It's not like the driver can even SEE the stupid ad. And for the love of god - it's for a magazine called LAVENDAR. Not Ass-Fuck Weekly or something....jeez. And while I'm at it - I just read that some elementary school in MA is banning tag from recess b/c it could be sued if a kid gets injured. What the fuck is wrong with people?! It's called personal accountability - try it sometime!! | | |

| From the BBC:
Wrestlers wait to compete in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator at the annual Naadam Festival, which this year coincides with the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongol empire.

| Work right now is silly. My client hours are over budget for our fiscal year (which ends June 30) so even though I have a crap ton of work to do, I can't work on it until next week. We've been dealing with this for the last few months and it's really taking a toll on any focus I might have as well as any ability to care about my work. It will be weird to come in Monday and be able to actually WORK a full day for my client.
I saw Pearl Jam twice this week - the Monday show was absolutely rocking and Tuesday was pretty good. I think Monday's show had a better setlist - Sleight of Hand, Army Reserve - and a better crowd. I was kind of glad Eddie didn't really get too political. It's not like we don't know how they feel about things and while I agree with them, sometimes you just want to rock out. These were my 9th and 10th Pearl Jam shows - and they were still damn fun! Tom Petty was good, but I'm just a casual fan. Fun to sing along to the radio hits, but after about an hour, they all ran together and sounded the same.
It's my birthday Saturday (26!) so if anyone would like to join in some revelry, I think we'll be going to Brit's Pub Saturday evening (tentative still). I'm guessing the more we drink, the more likely it will be that we'll end the evening close to home at Lyle's or maybe Mortimer's. Word to the wise, however - unless you're already really drunk, don't get tap beer at Mortimer's. It's always skunky - I don't know why.
I like this - a Pirate Keyboard:
